#LAWTAKE - WWE NXT SPRING BREAKIN’ NIGHT TWO 4/30/24
Yerrrr! I’m here for a new #LawTake recap of the WWE NXT Spring Breakin Night 2 showing. It’s been a while since I did some NXT recap but I had the time this Tuesday to delve into my favorite developmental brand.
Trick Williams being comfortable as a top dog is still going to take some getting used to. Look and charisma is glaring but the mic and in-ring work is as NXT development as it gets.
Lash Legend either needs to pair with Trick or get out the way. Something tells me Noam Dar will be Trick’s next opponent and I love the idea.
What in the BET NXT was that whole segment though? Cringe as can be.
A new black tag team with Timbs taking a loss? Word. I’m here for the black wrestlers entirely but some of these gimmicks could stand out from the other.
At least Good Brothers pick up a win and hopefully get on the right track to the NXT Tag Titles.
Chelsea Green returning to NXT to challenge Roxanne Perez is cool. Will she win? No chance, but Chelsea Green within the next year could be a prime player for any Women’s division she’s apart of.
Ava as GM looks uncomfortably clueless a lot of the time.
Thea Hail is the future of the NXT Women’s Division. She in fact should win that Women’s North American Title if she has the opportunity.
Who I realistically see winning is Sol Ruca. I said this on the pod and I will continue to feel this way as long as Roxanne (a whiney dominant heel) continues to be Women’s Heavyweight Champ. A babyface midcard women’s champion will hold it down and Sol (injury-free) is just the right idea.
But don’t get it twisted, I want to see my baby Jaida Parker get that W and bring the belt home to OTM and her side of the fence.
Michin returns to NXT to declare her hat in the race for the Women’s North American Title but we all know damn well Mia Yim doesn’t win anything.
Ariana Grace and GiGi Dolin are apart of the crispest most visually appealing segments in all of wrestling. Damn this company knows how to produce vignettes.
With one set of Women’s Tag Titles across all three brands, women’s Tag Team potential on NXT seem highly bleek word to Memphis.
Swapping Fallon Henley into the Kiana James role works for now. Jacy Jayne needs all the help they can get.
AOP are fried. Final Testament is fried. Brand revamp or not.
NXT are infamous for having no tag team names and the pairing of Axiom/Nathan Frazier continue.
Ridge Holland vs Shawn Spears was just there. Both feel like they will spin wheels this quarter with each other trading wins until the insane blow-off match happens at a future NXT PLE.
Shawn Spears could be fodder for Trick Williams down the line. Not box office feud but for sure filler.
Ridge Holland could use a repackaging. Put him under a mask ala Kane. Something, anything.
Oba Femi and Ivar had no business being as good as it was for a HOSS fest. Oba needs a new finisher too. That Powerbomb/Pop Up aspect of it seems played.
Wes Lee returning was unexpected but right on time. His program with Oba should be exciting but I do not see him winning. Although, Wes as a future NXT World Champion is something I do have in my cards.
I could do without NXT Underground. Sorry not sorry. Lola Vice did good but Shayna being made to look like a dork her entire two weeks of being back in NXT did nothing for me.
Natty will probably stick around for a tag team match with Lola and Shayna and Karmen so that should keep all four busy for the next few weeks.
Not as exciting as Spring Breakin Night One, so this one gets a solid 7/10. No bells, no whistles, just solid wrestling and some questionable segments. Blame it on developmental they say.
