#LAWTAKE - WWE SMACKDOWN 7/26/24
It’s time to enjoy one of the best wrestling programs all week… and probably the fastest airing one at that - WWE Smackdown. Sit back, relax, laugh and enjoy this weeks #LAWTAKE.
Santos Escobar is for sure stuck in the spinning of the wheels mode of being on the main roster. One day, it will be his time. If anything, I see a long term feud with him and LA continuing once LA wins the US Title.
Carmen Electra Lopez is always one of the best parts of Smackdown when she makes her valet services felt.
I love LA Knight the wrestler and character, I hate the BFT as a finisher.
Logan Paul has defended the US Title all of twice in his 200 plus days as champion, but son will for sure make his presence felt in real time no matter what so you can never take that away from him.
Logan and LA Knight’s title showdown at SummerSlam should be one of LA Knights best matches all year if I’m being real.
I can’t be the only one that cringes when they watch the Cocoa Butter Combat Club cut promos… “where they at, where they at?!” before being ambushed by the Unholy Irish Alliance aka the Women’s Tag Champions.
Isla and Alba look like chumps compared to Bianca and Jade, on any given. It’s only a matter of time before those belts go back to the rightful owners… aka the previous champions.
Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin are the biggest “wtf are we doing here?” put together teams all year and yet they actually picked up a win. I know they will be fodder to the inevitable Bloodline if they win the belts.
The Street Profits were my dark horse to win this whole gauntlet, considering they knocked out every team from Pretty Deadly, the Good Brothers, and Crews/Corbin.
I should have known better because no way was a Jacob Fatu entrance and match ending with a loss.
The presentation for Jacob Fatu has been outstanding and if you think those boys aren’t beating Ciampa and Sameface at SummerSlam to win those belts - you are out of your fucking mind.
Street Profits need a shot in the arm, a revival, anything. Head down to NXT and then transfer through the TNA portal, I feel.
My dawg Terrence Crawford makes a second cameo for WWE in two weeks to knock out Theory with one simple right hand. The Waller/Theory split and match is being asked for by absolutely nobody.
Michin got her ass beat by Nia Jax and Tiffy Time before their tag match began. Michin really can’t catch a break but at least she has air time.
BBL Bayley makes the save with a kendo stick to go at it against the new tandem until Michin is able to get back on her feet.
Nia Jax beating Bayley relatively clean in this tag match now has me feeling Bayley retains at SummerSlam, which for storyline continuity, I won’t be all the way against as long as Nia finally gets to win the big one sooner than later.
Again, this show flew the hell by. I LOVE Smackdown on Fridays. Get familiar now if you haven’t.
